COVID-19 Policy

Secwepemc Child and Family Services has implemented measures to help slow the transmission of COVID-19. Our key priority is the continued provision of essential services while maintaining the health and safety of our children, families, and employees.

Effective March 23rd, we closed our offices to the public and implemented a drop box window outside our Main office at 300 Chilcotin Road. Phone lines remain open with a Receptionist able to connect you with our Intake Screener as well as Family Preservation, Resource, and Guardianship Social Workers. We can also connect you with Youth Support Workers, Cultural Integration Workers, Kinship Care Social Workers, Early Years/Infant Development team members and Clinical Counsellors.

We continue to postpone all group programming and events, rescheduling all non-essential meetings and have closed our two downtown Kamloops offices. Our Main office phone line remains open and our Receptionist can be reached at 250-314-9669 from 10am-3pm Monday to Friday.  Your Social Worker/Consultant/Key Worker remains available on their cell phone and at their agency email address. Our staff will continue to work remotely to ensure ongoing essential services to all our children, youth and families.

If you have a Child Protection concern after 4:30pm, please call the Help Line at 1-800-663-9122.

If you are a child or youth and are needing to talk with someone after 4:30, please call the Helpline for Children at 310-1234.

We know this will be a time of increased anxiety, isolation, and hardship for many of our families and we will continue to do our very best to support you. Our staff is committed to working with our families, our caregivers and our communities to ensure that children are safe and families are supported.
